Since I was a little girl, dogs were always in my life and I became aware of wanting to work with animals at this young age, although life takes us to different places.
For my whole life, I have always been an animal lover and absolutely adore being around them when I first came to New Zealand I was eager to start a career and make my dreams come true. I enrolled in the Certificate in Animal Care at Unitec around the same time I adopted my dog Tex, he is my first dog as an adult and I was very excited to give him the best life I could. Soon we realized that little Tex was reactive to strangers and very fearful in other life situations, it was clear for me that I wanted to learn everything possible to help him and that’s when my journey started.
